Abigail Sherin is a Licensed Massage Therapist from Upstate New York. As a teenager, she suffered many side effects from the onset of Lyme Disease, and tried many methods to relieve her pain and discomfort. It was at this time that Abigail was introduced to massage therapy, specifically Myofascial Release, and personally discovered its multifaceted positive results. Due to this experience, Abigail knew she wanted to help others find relief from pain and stress through massage therapy. Abigail graduated from massage school in 2017, at the Center of Natural Wellness in Albany, New York. Since then, she has continued her education specifically in Myofascial Release. Overall, her goal is to provide pain relief and comfort to all of her clients. She loves what she does, and hopes that her work is a clear reflection of that. Licenses/Certifications Licensed Massage Therapist, from the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy (2017). Massage Board License received in 2018 Further Education Certifications John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach® completed courses - Myofascial Release 1 - Developing the fascinating framework of concepts and techniques. Certification received in March 2018. Myofascial Release 2 - Focused on important and advanced whole body MFR techniques with a lot of detailed work on the cranial structures. Certification received in March 2018. Myofascial Unwinding - Enhancing skill development. Certification received in March 2018. Facial-Pelvis - Logical progression of techniques for treating the Lumbo-pelvic region, for clients suffering from lumbar and pelvic pain, as well as menstrual problems. Certification was received in October 2018. Cervical-Thoracic - A course designed specifically to treat cervical pain, carpal tunnel, and jaw pain (TMJ). Certification received in September 2019. Myofascial Mobilization - Focused work on the upper and lower extremities, cervical thoracic, and lumbar areas. Certification received in May 2021.Business Hours
